Excuse the punt in the title, as the UK along with the rest of Europe enjoys some more hot summer weather before the Bank Holiday this weekend! It maybe 28/30 degrees for some of us out there, but it hasn’t sent us mad just yet. The markets have!
Over the last 6 months we have seen consistency across the sectors we operate in, whether Financial Services, Supply Chain Management or Logistics. The first half of 2016 has seen us being commissioned on more Retained Search work than ever and it continues to be so.
This has resulted in us successfully delivering assignments at Board Level, National, Regional appointments and site specific roles. The momentum continues and despite ‘Brexit’ worries given out by various press/other bodies or individuals, we are experiencing an extremely busy and consistent summer period. Employment is high, our clients are building businesses and investing in the future. All of which, along with their future plans mean we expect to see a very consistent market for the remainder of 2016 and into 2017.
Today is a special day for us, as we celebrate a HUGE, MASSIVE 2nd Birthday. Not ours, but a wonderful pre-school Toddler group, we helped establish and occasionally pop in to help run!
Today was a morning for lending a hand at 08:30 and getting everything ready for the fun to start from just after 9 till 11 o’clock. The next generation certainly know how to play-hard and have a great time!
2 years on and the community locally have not looked back. Relationships have been built, new faces are constantly joining and it has been full since it opened.
It just goes to show what can be achieved, which has an impact on peoples’ lives for the good and is completely run by the most dedicated, caring and hardworking small team you could ever meet. We so love to lend a hand a play – just a shame we have to come back to the desk and work!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone:)
We are proud to commit and sign up to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant.
A Corporate Covenant is a voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their concrete support for the Armed Forces Community. By signing the covenant we vow to uphold the covenant’s key principles; that no member of the armed forces should face disadvantage compared to any other citizen, and acknowledges that in some circumstances, special treatment should be afforded, particularly for the injured or bereaved.
Peter Heffron Managing Director states:
“As an organisation, for us this is both corporate and very personal. We have for a number of years now provided specialist help to those from our Armed Forces in what we do and we will continue to do so”.
“We are immensely proud to be able to show our support in this way and will look to continue to build our relationships and support given to all serving and veteran personnel, as well as their families”.

We pop in regularly to see how things are at the local Toddler group. A wonderful group of dedicated people that run this Church-based initiative.
We took in a few extra new toys last week – it’s amazing how addictive ‘bristle blocks” are. Remember those? We bet you do!
What a year makes. In 8 weeks time this group is a year old and now catering for 30/40 children and parents weekly. It’s now self run, self funding and has brought countless people together. They all have great fun and another aspect of community has impacted peoples lives for the better:)
Well December is upon us!
For many there is a tremendous lot to do and cram into our lives over the next 3 and a bit weeks before Christmas, both in work and our personal lives. But take a breath occasionally and take some time out. Time for family, friends and for you. Don’t be afraid to have a little time to stop, have a little creative thinking time and ensure that the entire season that’s upon us, doesn’t just become as stressful as every other year and you feel there’s not enough time.
Actually there is. Lots of time that is!
So much can still be achieved in such a short period of time, both professionally and personally. It just takes a fraction of discipline to stop email or social media after a certain time each day, or to claw back some time away from the television and spend it with family doing something different, or get out there and meet up with friends.
Above all, take time to enjoy it. Rush it and you’ll only enjoy a 48/72hr period over Christmas itself, followed by collapsing in a heap. A few choice moments over this period ahead of us and you’ll be more alert, feel inspired and have enjoyed some precious memories that we should all cherish for a life time.
For many of our clients, they are now into the second half of their fiscal year and many are reporting solid growth and investment. Volumes are up, revenue and profits increase!
Everyone is having to work hard for these achievements, but no-one ever said it would be easy.
For us, our fiscal year is just coming to the end of it’s first quarter at the end of August and we’re delighted to report that volumes, revenue, profit and new sectors are all increasing rapidly. Being there to support throughout the tough times and with the investments made in the last 9 months, our long term strategic goals are 100% on track.
Enjoy the summer everyone!
From a pure idea, to gaining 4 volunteers, a new Parents and Toddler group has been born with our help in the area we’re based in. If you want to make a grown man cry, take his idea, have a little faith and go for it – 4 weeks later the doors opened, 30 little ones are having a great time and people are making new friends across 4/5 villages.
Now that’s community in action!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
We are proud to announce the launch of our new brand and website www.huntermaclean.co.uk
Please give us your feedback. We’d love to know what you think, how we can improve, and what you would like us to consider including.
From analysts’ forecasts, to feedback with senior leaders across various vertical sectors, 2014 looks set to be a cracking year! It is also why, as we enjoy building business and being rushed off our feet with the day to day, we’re ensuring we play our part in helping build the future.
We’re already committed to assisting one university with guiding Business Students in key attributes of Employability and we can’t wait to be in working with the them in the spring.
As part of our ‘Changing Lives’ commitment, we’re delighted to have been
